Jeremy Stephens found himself in a rather awkward situation on Oct. 5. Instead of stepping in the Octagon to fight Yves Edwards at UFC on FX 5, he found himself sitting in a Minneapolis jail cell on an outstanding warrant in Iowa.
The warrant apparently stems from an alleged bar fight, but Stephens has steadfastly maintained his innocence.
He was recently released on bail, following a 12-day stint in jail, and returned to Iowa, where he did an interview with local news station WHO-TV 13.
Stephens still couldn’t go into too much detail about the circumstances of his arrest, but talked about the stressful situation in Minneapolis, what his plans are now, and when he might step back in the Octagon…
