With a 2-2 record in his last four fights, UFC lightweight Jeremy Stephens is making some major changes ahead of his next fight against Yves Edwards at UFC on FX 5.
A veteran of more than 10 fights inside the Octagon, Stephens has always been an exciting fighter who puts in a lot of effort during every training camp, but it’s when he’s not training that things started to backfire.
According to Stephens in his latest video blog, partying and the night life caught up to him too much recently and he realized that major changes had to be made.
“I’m very blessed and very fortunate to be going in at 1000-percent. Changing up things on the outside, cleaning up my lifestyle. I just got into partying a lot and just got into making bad choices on the outside of camp,” Stephens said.
“This camp I’m hoping to stay in the gym, and keep continue to working on what I’ve been working on and improving my game and adding things to my arsenal.”
Stephens faces Yves Edwards at UFC on FX 5 this weekend in Minnesota and following back-to-back losses he knows that his back may be against the wall a bit as he heads into this bout.
