Jason High at Affliction 2James Head has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann 2. He’ll now face Jason High, according to a report from Fox Sports.

Head was originally slated to fight Bobby Voelker on the card, but Voelker was pulled from that bout to face Robby Lawler at next week’s UFC on Fox 8. Lawler’s original opponent, Siyar Bahadurzada, fell out of their bout due to injury.

Condit vs. Kampmann 2 takes place on Aug. 28 in Indianapolis.

Head (9-3) enters the fight coming off of a loss to Mike Pyle at the TUF 16 Finale in December. He had intended to fight Nick Catone at UFC 159 in April, and even made it all the way through weigh-ins. Catone, however, failed to make weight and then had to go to the hospital on the day of the fight due to severe dehydration. The fight was subsequently cancelled, leaving Head to move on to the second UFC Fight Night on Fox Sports 1.

High is 16-4 overall after losing his Octagon debut to Erick Silva at UFC on Fuel TV 10: Nogueira vs. Werdum in June. He had been on a seven-fight winning streak, including three Strikeforce bouts, prior to the Silva fight.

This is High’s second run in the UFC after being one and done after losing to Charlie Brenneman in March 2010.

Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann headline the Aug. 28 fight card in a rematch of their bout from September 2009, which Kampmann won by split decision.
