Invicta Fighting Championships has inked a deal with flyweight Munah “The Perfect Storm” Holland.
Invicta FC officials made the announcement on Thursday.
A former Golden Gloves boxing champion, Holland (5-2) made her professional mixed martial arts debut in October 2010 by defeating Kim Couture. She’s a Ring of Combat and Bellator MMA veteran that is coming off a loss to Michelle Ould in September 2012.
Holland took to Twitter in reaction to her signing, tweeting, “Yes It’s official! So happy now.”
“I’ve been smiling so much today that my face muscles are sore,” she added.
Holland fulfilled her Bellator MMA contractual obligations in July and became a free agent. Bellator MMA recently released all the female fighters on its roster.
Holland’s signing comes on the heels of Invicta FC’s signing of former Bellator fighter Felice Herrig.
It’s unknown when the striking standout will debut in Invicta.
