UFC officials announced the light heavyweight bout on Wednesday morning. UFC Fight Night Sweden Sweden takes place in Stockholm and also includes a welterweight matchup pitting Amir Sadollah against Nicholas Musoke.
Blachowicz enters his initial Octagon foray having lost just three times in 20 professional appearances. The 31-year-old Pole has competed almost exclusively for KSW during his career, racking up victories over the likes of Christian M’Pumbu, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Houston Alexander and Goran Reljic, to name a few.
After falling to Gegard Mousasi on short-notice in his first UFC appearance, Latifi has posted consecutive first-round finishes in his last two outings. “The Sledgehammer” tapped Cyrille Diabate with a guillotine choke in March before knocking out Chris Dempsey at UFC Fight Night “McGregor vs. Brandao” earlier this month.
