Lyoto Machida, one of the most diverse strikers in UFC history, hurt then-champion Rashad Evans several times before using a flurry of punches and kicks to end the fight and become the new UFC light heavyweight titleholder.

Machida next steps into the Octagon in the UFC Fight Night 36 main event opposite Gegard Mousasi on Saturday, Feb. 15, in Brazil.
