Georges St-Pierre Says Nick Diaz is No. 1 Contender, Addresses Anderson Silva Talk (Video)

Georges St-Pierre (UFC 158)UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre makes no bones about why he wants to fight Nick Diaz, it’s the biggest fight that makes sense for him right now.

Does he feel sorry for Johny Hendricks? Yes, he does. But GSP believes that Diaz — despite coming off of a loss and drug suspension — deserves the shot at his belt, as well, that he is the No. 1 contender; but more importantly, he believes it is the fight that fans want to see him fight.

He can’t split himself in half and fight everyone that wants a shot at him, but St-Pierre did take time to address a superfight with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and whether or not he is afraid to fight the widely regarded top pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
