George Roop Faces Dustin Kimura at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale on April 16


George Roop at WEC 51UFC veteran George Roop faces young gun Dustin Kimura at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale on April 16. UFC officials announced the match-up on Thursday night.

Roop (14-10-1) is coming off a technical knockout loss to Francisco Rivera at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 on Nov. 6. Prior to the loss to Rivera, Roop had won back-to-back fights after returning to the bantamweight division after a three-year stint in the 145-pound weight class.

Kimura (11-1) made his UFC debut in February 2013, defeating Chico Camus by rear naked choke. He suffered his first career loss to Mitch Gagnon in his next outing but rebounded with armbar submission win over Jon Delos Reyes on Jan. 4.

The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale takes place on April 16 at the Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebeck, Canada. The event is headlined by a middleweight match-up between Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy. The Ultimate Fighter Nations coaches Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke will face off in the fight card’s co-main event.
