GSP: I Want to Be a 'Star Wars' Villain Next

GSP: I Want to Be a 'Star Wars' Villain Next

Former longtime UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre nabbed a small villain role in this month's blockbuster release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and he's hoping his role could earn him a spot in one of the world's most respected, successful movie franchises.

Speaking with TMZ, "Rush" expressed why he will angle to play the villain in future roles.

"Maybe not super hero, but I like the Star Wars (movies), I'm a big fan. I know they're doing (sequels) seven, eight, nine," St-Pierre said, when asked what superhero he would like to portray.

"Villains are way more charismatic," he said playfully, after being questioned if he'd rather portray a hero or a bad guy.

St-Pierre had under 10 minutes of screen time in Captain, which has grossed over $510 million according to Box Office Mojo, and his lines were spoken in French.

Nevertheless, comic book and fight fans alike generally seemed to enjoy his contributions to the superhero flick.

St-Pierre says he has not decided if he will return to the cage after tearing his left ACL, per MMA Fighting.

Will St-Pierre ever put the gloves back on and regain his belt, or will the intrigue of the silver screen keep him away from the Octagon for good?
