Friday's 'ONE FC 12: Warrior Spirit' loses headliner, championship status

Friday’s “ONE FC 12: Warriors Spirit” lineup has lost one of its headliners, and as a result, the bout’s championship status.

With Adam Kayoom (4-1) suffering a broken rib, Nobutatsu Suzuki (10-1-2) now will fight fellow welterweight Vitor Pinto (7-0). The organization’s inaugural welterweight title is no longer on the line.

ONE FC 12 takes place at Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event streams via online pay-per-view in North America.

Pinto, who hails from Portugal, makes his promotional debut following a two-year pro career that’s included four stoppages in seven wins. Suzuki, meanwhile, looks to build off a ONE FC 9 win over Phil Baroni. It marked his 10th knockout in 10 career wins.

The organization also announced two new bouts: flyweights Adrian Moraes (9-0) vs. Yusup Saadulaev (10-3-1) and heavyweights Tony Johnson (7-1) vs. Chris Lokteff (11-1). Moraes initially was slated to fight Josh Paiva (4-0),
