In April 2007, British MMA fighter Terry Etim suffered a first-round loss at UFC 70 to Matt Grice. Stung by the defeat, Etim called Grice afterward to ask for his help. Where, he asked, could he learn to become a better wrestler? Not long after, Etim landed in Parsons, Kan., to work out at LaBette Community College. There, he ultimately inspired national wrestling champ Tim Elliott to launch his own MMA career. But it didn't come easy.
