Both Fickett (155.5) and Cobb (155.4) made the contracted lightweight limit at Thursday's weigh-ins. The next time the two face off will be in the MFC cage on Friday at the Mayfield Inn Trade and Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The event airs live on HDNet.
In the co-main event, a pair of UFC welterweight veterans will clash, as Marcus Davis (170.1) toes the line against Pete Spratt (170.6). The bout is a rematch of a 2007 Octagon encounter that saw “The Irish Hand Grenade” submit Spratt with an Achilles lock.
Also scheduled for the show is a pair of intriguing welterweight scraps. Durable veteran Thomas Denny (163.5) meets Canadian prospect Sheldon Westcott (165.6) in a rematch of their February conflict that ended in a draw, while Brazilian Dhiego Lima (170.6) locks up with King of the Cage veteran Jamie Toney (168.4).
Rounding out the card will be a middleweight bout pitting Cody Krahn (184.5) against Andreas Spang (185.8). Lightweight Robert Washington (159.6) failed to make weight for his bout with Curtis Demarce (155.6) and will therefore forfeit 20 percent of his fight purse.
