With a featherweight bout between Felipe Arantes (15-5-1 MMA, 2-1-1 UFC) and Kevin Souza (13-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) now official, the fight card is set for next month’s UFC Fight Night 28 event.
Souza, a promotional newcomer, recently replaced Sam Sicilia (11-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) on the card.
UFC Fight Night 28 takes place Sept. 4 at Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The six-fight main card, including a Glover Teixeira vs. Ryan Bader headliner, airs on FOX Sports 1, and Facebook streams the prelims.
Arantes vs. Souza is slated for the Facebook stream.
Since a UFC-debut loss, Arantes is undefeated (2-0-1) in his past three fights, and he most recently knocked out Godofredo Castro at UFC on FUEL TV 10. Souza, meanwhile, enters the UFC with a seven-fight winning streak and 13 stoppages (12 knockouts) in 13 career wins.
The official UFC Fight Night 28 card now includes:
MAIN CARD (FOX Sports 1, 8 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 5 p.m. ET)
