felipe-arantes-2.jpgA featherweight bout between Felipe Arantes (14-4-1 MMA, 1-1-1 UFC) and Godofredo “Pepey” Castro (9-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) is the latest addition to June’s UFC on FUEL TV 10 lineup.

Although UFC officials haven’t made a formal announcement, Tatate.com recently reported it.

UFC on FUEL TV 10, which also serves as the finale for “TUF: Brazil 2,” takes place June 8, likely at Ginasio Paulo Sarasate in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. The main card airs on FUEL TV following prelims on Facebook.

It’s not clear where Arantes vs. Castro will be placed on the lineup.

Arantes, a Brazilian who made his MMA debut in 2008, signed with the UFC in 2011. He’s experienced a mixed bag since then. Competing exclusively in the UFC’s Brazilian shows, he’s suffered a decision loss to Yuri Alcantara, picked up a decision win over Antonio Carvalho, and then fought Milton Vieira to a split draw in his most recent appearance at UFC 147.

He meets a fellow Brazilian when he takes on Castro, who posted a runner-up finish on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” in 2012 after he suffered a decision loss to Rony Jason in the tourney final. However, he rebounded earlier this year at UFC on FX 7, where he defeated Milton Vieira via split decision.

With the addition, the UFC on FUEL TV 10 lineup now includes:

  • Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Fabricio Werdum
  • Rafael Cavalcante vs. Thiago Silva
  • John Hathaway vs. Erick Silva
  • Rony Jason vs. Mike Wilkinson*
  • Caio Magalhaes vs. Karlos Vemola*
  • Derek Brunson vs. Ronny Markes*
  • Ildemar Alcantara vs. Jason High*
  • Eddie Mendez vs. Daniel Sarafian*
  • Felipe Arantes vs. Godofredo Pepey*
