Fedor Emelianenko, Kimbo Slice among Bellator 134 fight-week guests

Some familiar names will be part of fight-week activities for Bellator MMA’s next week.

Bellator 134 takes place Feb. 27 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and prior to the Spike TV-televised event, a number of fan and media events are slated.

Former PRIDE champion and MMA great Fedor Emelianenko, UFC Hall of Famers Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie, and current Bellator fighter Tito Ortiz all will be involved in a lengthy list of activities. Additionally, recent signee/UFC vet Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson will be the featured guest at a pre-event press conference.

Bellator President Scott Coker told MMAFighting.com that Emelianenko’s participation isn’t indicative of a bigger role with the company or a potential return to the cage.

“I know some people will look into it more than what they should,” Coker said. “We have a good relationship with Fedor. He’s happy to come. How great for the fans?”

Wednesday, Feb. 25

• 3 p.m. ET: “Past, Present & Future of MMA” Q&A session with Gracie, Ortiz and Aaron Pico for area high school wrestlers (closed to public)
• 4 p.m. ET: Official Bellator 134 press conference with main-card fighters at Boys & Girls Club and Family Center of Bristol

Thursday, Feb. 26

• 5 p.m. ET: Official Bellator 134 fighter weigh-ins at Mohegan Sun (open to public)
• 7 p.m. ET: Bellator fanfest with Emelianenko, Gracie, Ortiz and Shamrock signing autographs and taking photos for fans; Bellator ring girls meet-and-greet; ticket and merchandise sales at Dave & Buster in Manchester, Conn. (open to public)

Friday, Feb. 27

• 4 p.m. ET: Emelianenko, Gracie, Ortiz and Shamrock autograph signing at Mohegan Sun (open to Bellator 134 ticketholders)
• 5 p.m. ET: Kimbo Slice press conference
• 6:45 p.m. ET: Bellator 134 begins
