Featherweights Niklas Backstrom, Mike Wilkinson Added to UFC Fight Night in Sweden

UFC officials announced the fight on Friday. As of now, the fight joins Nicholas Musoke and Amir Sadollah as the second bout confirmed for the promotion’s return to Sweden.

Backstrom will be looking to remain undefeated and parlay his impressive Zuffa debut at UFC Fight Night “Munoz vs. Mousasi.”The Swede filled in for Thiago Tavares on short notice against Tom Niiminaki and wound up earning a “Performance of the Night” bonus for his submission win.

Meanwhile, Wilkinson will be making his third appearance for the UFC. “The Warrior” has been out of action for more than a year; his last showing was a submission loss at the hands of Rony Mariano Bezerra at UFC on Fuel TV 10. The England native owns one victory in the Octagon, a decision win against Brendan Loughnane at UFC on FX 6.
