The fifth UFC event in six weeks takes place next week with UFC on FOX 9, and fans are invited to the show’s pre-event press conference and weigh-ins.
UFC on FOX 9 takes place next Saturday, Dec. 14, at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif. The FOX-televised event features a flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson (18-2-1 MMA, 6-1-1 UFC) and Joseph Benavidez (19-3 MMA, 6-1 UFC).
Prior to the event, which also features a Urijah Faber (29-6 MMA, 5-2 UFC) vs. Michael MacDonald (16-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) bantamweight co-headliner, fans can attend the pre-event media and fan events.
Although Wednesday’s open workouts are closed to the public, fans can attend Thursday’s press conference at Sleep Train Arena. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. ET (12:30 p.m. PT local time). A half hour later, the event commences with UFC President Dana White, Johnson, Benavidez, Faber, McDonald, Carlos Condit, Matt Brown, Chad Mendes and Nik Lentz.
Friday’s fighter weigh-ins take place at the same venue. Doors open to the public at 3:30 p.m. PT, though UFC on FOX 10 headliner and lightweight contender Josh Thomson hosts a UFC Fight Club Q&A at 1:30 p.m. PT. The first fighter is on the scale for the weigh-ins at 4 p.m. PT.
