Evan Dunham vs. T.J. Grant Added to UFC 152, Tickets on Sale July 27

The UFC will return to Toronto on Sept. 22 with the first ever flyweight champion being crowned, as well as several home country fighters appearing on the card.

UFC officials announced on Thursday four of the fights that will make up the card landing at the Air Canada Center including the main event between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson as they battle for the first ever UFC 125-pound belt.

The newest fight announced for the upcoming card is a lightweight battle between former title contender Evan Dunham and Canada’s own T.J. Grant.

Dunham has won his last two fights in a row, while Grant has also picked up back-to-back victories since dropping down to 155 pounds.

Now the two lightweights will meet at UFC 152 in Grant’s home country of Canada.

The other two fights already announced for the Sept. 22 card are a welterweight match-up between Rory MacDonald and B.J. Penn, as well as Brian Stann who faces Michael Bisping in a middleweight tilt.

“Everyone knows how much I love Canada and it’s going to be great to have the first-ever UFC flyweight title fight between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson in Toronto on Sept. 22,” UFC president Dana White said. “Both Michael Bisping and Brian Stann want to prove that they deserve a shot at Anderson Silva, so I expect them to go out and put on an incredible fight for the fans.

“BJ Penn called out Rory MacDonald and Rory accepted!” White continued. “BJ is a former two-division champion and he loves having the chance to knock off the welterweight division’s fastest-rising star.”

Tickets for the upcoming UFC 152 show go on sale on Friday, July 27 at 12 p.m. ET with prices ranging from $550 down to $85 and will be available at the Air Canada Centre box office and through Ticketmaster.

In addition to the on sale date for tickets, Benavidez, Johnson, Bisping, Stann and MacDonald will head to Toronto on July 24 for a press conference headed up by UFC Canada director Tom Wright.
