Eddie Alvarez-Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire Lightweight Headliner Tops 10-Fight Bellator 76 Bill

Bellator Fighting Championships announced on Thursday that an expected Bellator 76 headliner between Eddie Alvarez and Patricky Freire is now official.

Bellator 76 takes place Oct. 12 and will feature 10 fights in total, four of which will serve as the Season 7 featherweight quarterfinals. The MTV2-broadcast main draw will see two-time tournament vet Nazareno Malegarie take on Rad Martinez, while Wagnney Fabiano, Jeremy Spoon and Cody Bollinger square off with Akop Stepanyan, Mike Richman and Shahbulat Shamhalaev, respectively.

The event takes place at Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino in Windsor, Ontario. The preliminary card streams live on both Spike.com and Bellator.com and features a welterweight pairing between former two-division King of the Cage champion Dom O’Grady and onetime Strikeforce competitor A.J. Matthews, as well as a 145-pound scrap pitting the unbeaten Jason Fischer against Canadian prospect Kyle Prepolec.

Additionally, three more bouts will be featured on the evening’s undercard, as Ainsley Robinson meets Chad Laprise at lightweight, Ali Mokdad faces Simon Marini at middleweight and Nayeb Hezam squares off with Magomedrasul Khasbulaev at featherweight.
