Dustin Pague vs. Yves Jabouin joins UFC 161 lineup

yves-jabouin-6.jpgA bantamweight bout between Dustin Pague (11-7 MMA, 1-3 UFC) and Yves Jabouin (18-8 MMA, 3-2 UFC) is the latest addition to June’s UFC 161 lineup.

UFC officials today announced the matchup.

UFC 161 takes place June 15 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.

It’s not clear where Pague vs. Jabouin will be placed on the lineup.

Pague likely finds himself in a must-win situation as he looks to avoid a third straight loss. After a semifinal-round finish on “The Ultimate Fighter 14,” he suffered a TKO loss to John Albert at the show’s live finale. He rebounded in his next outing with a submission victory over Jared Papazian, but he’s followed it up with a pair of decision losses to Ken Stone and Chico Camus.

Jabouin, who fights in his home country for the third time under the UFC banner, was riding a three-fight win streak (which included decision wins over Ian Loveland, Walel Watson and Jeff Hougland) before a knockout loss to Brad Pickett back in September, which marks his most recent outing. The Tristar Gym fighter and WEC vet’s win streak had begun after his drop from featherweight to bantamweight.

The latest UFC 161 card now includes:

  • Champ Renan Barao vs. Eddie Wineland – for interim bantamweight title
  • Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson
  • Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Mauricio Rua
  • Jake Shields vs. Tyron Woodley
  • Sean Pierson vs. Anthony Waldburger
  • Patrick Barry vs. Shawn Jordan
  • Sam Stout vs. Isaac Vallie-Flagg
  • Ryan Jimmo vs. Igor Pokrajac
  • Yves Jabouin vs. Dustin Pague
  • Stipe Miocic vs. Soa Palelei
  • Mitch Clarke vs. John Maguire
  • Roland Delorme vs. Edwin Figueroa
