Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael dos Anjos is the latest addition to the UFC on Fox Sports 1: Condit vs. Kampmann fight card slated for Aug. 28 in Indianapolis.
IndyStar.com first reported the bout, which UFC officials later confirmed and announced that it would serve as the co-main event to the UFC on FS1 2 headlining bout between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann.
Cerrone (20-5) is fresh off of a three-round unanimous decision victory over incoming Strikeforce veteran KJ Noons. Cerrone dominated the fight, especially in the final round.
It was a solid rebound for Cerrone, who suffered only the second knockout loss of his career when Anthony Pettis stopped him in the first round of their fight at UFC on Fox 6 in January.
Riding a four-fight winning streak into the fight with Cerrone, dos Anjos (9-6) has finally ditched the roller coaster ride of his earlier UFC tenure and is rocketing towards title contention.
He is coming off of a victory over Evan Dunham at UFC on FX 7 earlier this year in January.
The winner of Cerrone vs. dos Anjos takes a leap forward in entering his name into the UFC lightweight title mix.
