The UFC 183 preliminary bout between Diego Brandao and Jimy Hettes has been cancelled at the last minute.
The fight’s cancellation was due to a medical concern about Hettes, according to a report on the UFC 183 Pre-Fight Show on FOX Sports 1.
Apparently, Hettes was in the dressing room, getting his hands wrapped, when they began to twitch. A doctor spoke with Hettis and determined that it would be in his best interest to go to the hospital and have a CAT scan done. Thus the bout was cancelled out of concern for Hettes’ health.

The card will continue with 11 bouts, including the main event pitting Anderson Silva against Nick Diaz, as both men are returning from a prolonged absence.
