Prior to the cancellation of this past weekend's planned UFC 151 event,
Joseph Benavidez was going to be the
headliner of this month's UFC 152 fight card.
However, with Jon Jones now facing Vitor Belfort in the main event of
that card, the flyweight has now been relegated to co-feature status. No
matter, says the Team Alpha Male fighter.
"No one says, 'I want to be a UFC main event,'" Benavidez told
MMAjunkie.com. "They say, 'I want to be a UFC
champion.' I still get to do that."
