Following a memorable knockout in his last fight, former Ultimate Fighter competitor Daron Cruickshank will travel to John Makdessi’s backyard when the two lightweights face off at UFC 158 in Montreal.
UFC officials announced the fight on Friday.
Following a run on the 15th season of the Ultimate Fighter, Daron Cruickshank has picked up two wins in a row including his highlight reel knockout of Henry Martinez at UFC on Fox 5 in Seattle.
Now Cruickshank will face another dangerous striker when he heads to Montreal to face John Makdessi at UFC 158.
Makdessi fights in Montreal for the second straight fight after defeating fellow Canadian Sam Stout at UFC 154 last November.
The two lightweights face off in what is expected to be an undercard fight for the show headlined by UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre as he faces Nick Diaz in the main event.
