The latest addition to the upcoming UFC on Versus 5 card in Milwaukee will feature a lightweight bout between Danny Castillo and Jacob Volkmann.
The UFC announced the new bout on Wednesday.
Danny Castillo (11-3) made the most of his UFC debut back in March as he took out former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ season 2 champion Joe Stevenson.
Overall between the WEC and the UFC, Castillo has built up a three fight win streak, and looks to make it four in a row in August.
Jacob Volkmann (12-2) has been a successful lightweight in the UFC, but his claim to notoriety came after making some controversial comments towards President Barack Obama following his win over Antonio McKee in January.
Volkmann was joking about fighting the nation’s President, but unfortunately the Secret Service doesn’t find any threat funny and so he received a visit from the government to verify he meant no actual harm.
This will be Volkmann’s first appearance since making the comments, and now he’ll try to build on his fight career instead of potential political aspirations.
The lightweights will meet at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisc. as a part of the UFC on Versus 5 show going down on August 14.
