A welterweight match-up has been added to the UFC Fight Night: Battle on the Bayou with Daniel ‘Ninja’ Roberts facing T.J. Waldburger on the Sept 17 fight card.

UFC officials announced the new bout on Friday.

It might be do or die for Skrap Pack fighter Daniel ‘Ninja’ Roberts when he enters his fight in New Orleans.

A training partner for both Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez and former UFC welterweight contender Jake Shields, Roberts has dropped his last two bouts in a row and will be in need of a win to secure his future with the UFC when he fights in Sept.

Hoping to get back to his own winning ways, T.J. Waldburger will look to rebound from a TKO loss to Johny Hendricks in his last fight.

Waldburger debuted with a victory over David Mitchell, but fell short when facing Hendricks in March.

The welterweight bout is expected to be a preliminary fight on the night’s fight card.
