Daniel Cormier: “I Don’t Think That Performance Warranted a Title Shot” (UFC on Fox 7 video)

Daniel Cormier StrikeforceDaniel Cormier dominated former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir in their UFC on Fox 7 bout in San Jose, Calif., on Saturday night, but he still didn’t fight the way he wanted to, saying he felt “nervous” and “tired.”

The nerves, especially, surprised Cormier, as he has competed at a high level for the majority of his athletic life.

But the Octagon is the Octagon and the spotlight burns just a little bit hotter than most.

Still, Cormier doesn’t believe his performance warranted talk of a title shot just yet.
