It’s been a long road for women to finally get the chance to compete inside the UFC Octagon, and it will happen
in 2013 with the debut of champion Ronda Rousey.
For years, UFC President Dana White has been against a women’s division due to a lack of depth outside of a few key figures at the top of the sport, but now with Rousey’s emergence as a legitimate star, the promotion is willing to give it a shot.
So beginning next year, the 135lb division including Rousey will debut in the UFC.
