UFC president Dana White, in a brief on-the-street interview with TMZ, said that Ronda Rousey “absolutely, positively wants to fight (Cris) Cyborg.”

Of course, at the same time that Rousey “absolutely, positively wants to fight Cyborg,” she still hasn’t said a peep about returning to the Octagon, let alone fighting the scariest female fighter on the planet.

White has indicated that he thinks Rousey will return to the Octagon late in 2016, but first up for her would be a title shot against whoever has the belt, that currently being Amanda Nunes.

White’s record of late would tend to lead us away from believing that there is a Rousey vs. Cyborg fight anywhere in the near future. Does anyone remember “the UFC is not for sale” or Eddie Alvarez is fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov, not Conor McGregor?
