chael-sonnen-19.jpgThe UFC’s traditional pre-event show returns next Tuesday, April 23, with the debut of “Countdown to UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen” on FUEL TV.

The one-hour special previews the card’s headlining title fight between UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones (17-1 MMA, 11-1 UFC) and Chael Sonnen (27-12-1 MMA, 6-5 UFC).

The show debuts Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT). Replays of the show air throughout the week on FUEL TV on April 24 (5 a.m., 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET), April 25 (11 p.m. ET), April 26 (3 p.m. ET) and Saturday (7 p.m. ET). Regional FOX Sports channels also will carry the show at various times

UFC 159 takes place April 27 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.

UFC 159 also features middleweights Michael Bisping (23-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) vs. Alan Belcher (18-7 MMA, 9-5 UFC) and heavyweights Cheick Kongo (18-7-2 MMA, 11-5-1 UFC) vs. Roy Nelson (18-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC). “Countdown” is expected to spotlight both of those matchups, as well as the headliner.

The UFC 159 card includes:

PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 6:30 p.m. ET)
