Tensions are running high in New York ahead of Saturday’s UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor. Much of the tension is thanks in no small part to the man that is the master at getting under people’s skin, Conor McGregor.
The UFC featherweight champion started a bit of a dust-up with welterweight titleholder Tyron Woodley during the UFC 205 pre-fight press conference by stating that he was coming for all the championship belts.
Woodley brushed it aside as hyperbole, but when pushed by a reporter, McGregor repeated his claim, taking aim at Woodley, declaring he’d take, “All the belts!”

With the press conference over and done with, you’d think those comments would be dusted under the rug as promotional trash talk.
Things started up again Friday morning when McGregor and Woodley crossed paths at the food table at the official weigh-ins.
McGregor was hanging out around the table when Woodley walked over. McGregor threw a deep stare at Woodley, which become a rather tense situation.

That still wasn’t the end of the matter as the two then traded barbs on Twitter.
