Despite UFC president Dana White continuing to say that he expects Conor McGregor to defend his featherweight title after rematching Nate Diaz at UFC 202 on Aug. 20, McGregor hasn’t yet committed to such a fight.
He hasn’t exactly said no, but McGregor hasn’t exactly said yes, either.
One thing he does want is to start fighting closer to his home in Dublin. UFC 205 in New York would be much closer for him than Las Vegas, where he has fought four out of his last five fights. Even higher on his preferred list than New York, however, is a fight in his hometown of Dublin, which he feels he’s earned.
