Cheick Kongo at UFC 87

MMAWeekly.com caught up with Cheick Kongo at Gold’s Gym in Tokyo, Japan. Kongo knows UFC 144 opponent Mark Hunt is a “buff guy” and has much respect for him. In regards to their upcoming fight, Kongo feels it’s a job and a waste of time to pick apart Hunt’s game. It’s just time to fight.

A lot of fighters are worried about recovering from the time zone change when traveling to Japan, but Kongo used to be a “night worker,” so he feelsit  doesn’t affect him that much. But 20 years ago, he went from security guard to superhero.
