Cage Warriors inks ex-BAMMA champ Jack Marshman, Mateusz Teodorczuk

Former BAMMA British middleweight champion Jack Marshman (14-4) and lightweight Mateusz Teodorczuk (11-2) have signed exclusive deals, the promotion recently announced. The contracts cover five fights over 18 months.

Cage Warriors this past Saturday put on its second fight of 2014 with Cage Warriors 65 in Dublin. Two weeks prior, Cage Warriors 64 took place in London. And on March 22, the England-based promotion makes its first trip to Scandinavia for Cage Warriors 66 in Denmark.

Marshman won back-to-back fights in the final two months of 2013 after a two-fight skid earlier in the year. “The Hammer” has 12 of his 14 wins inside the distance, including 10 knockouts. He started his pro career 10-0 before a loss to current UFC fighter Tom Watson for BAMMA in March 2012.

“I’m very happy to have signed with Cage Warriors and I’m looking forward to some really interesting matchups with Europe’s premier promotion,” the Wales native stated.

Teodorczuk signs a long-term deal with Cage Warriors following a win in his promotional debut at Cage Warriors 63 in Dublin this past December. The 24-year-old fighter, from Poland, won his ninth straight when he submitted Paul Redmond. That was his fifth submission stoppage in 11 career wins.

“I believe that I showed my skills and potential in beating Paul Redmond, and I’m ready for any challenge that CWFC will have for me,” Teodorczuk stated. “I’m really happy to have signed this deal. I want to beat every rival that stands in my way and get the opportunity to fight for that lightweight title. It’s a stacked division, but the other guys in there need to be aware that there’s now a new big fish in the pond.”
