Cage Warriors Fight Night 11 set for April 18 in Amman, Jordan

Cage Warriors Fight Night 11 is set for April 18 at King Hussein Youth City Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. The main card will stream on MMAjunkie following prelims on Cage Warriors’ Facebook page.

The promotion recently announced five bouts for the card, as well as three other promotional veterans who await opponents for the show.

Recently signed UFC veteran Phil Harris (22-12) returns to the promotion and meets unbeaten Russian Kurban Gadzhiev (6-0) in a flyweight contest.

Plus, a welterweight bout between Jack Mason (26-13) and Patrick Vallee (10-5-1) is on tap; bantamweights Marat Pekov (11-5) and Brian Moore (7-3) will meet; Michael “Black Death” Johnson (9-6) will face Tahar Hadbi (9-5) at welterweight; and unbeaten featherweight Arnold Allen (6-0) takes on Tobias Huber (5-3).

In addition, the promotion announced Jack Hermansson (6-2), Julien Boussuge (10-3) and John Redmond (5-7) all are expected to be part of the card in Jordan.

Mason will be looking to rebound from a loss a five weeks ago against Ben Alloway at Cage Warriors 65. That setback snapped a two-fight streak for the Brit, who will fight for the 12th time under the Cage Warriors banner. Vallee, from France, will make his promotional debut after a submission win in January. That got him back in the win column after a knockout loss to Paul Daley in February 2013.

Pekov will go after his second straight win for Cgae Warriors after a first-round submission victory a week ago against John Cullen at Cage Warriors Fight Night 10. His first two bouts for the organization were decision losses to Ronnie Mann and James Brum. Ireland’s Moore will try to rebound after having a three-fight streak snapped with a decision loss to Dave Hill at Cage Warriors 59 this past September.

London’s Johnson slides over to Cage Warriors after a submission loss to Wayne Murrie at BAMMA 14 in December. That loss snapped a four-fight winning streak for the fighter, who has seven of his nine wins by stoppage. Hadbi will make his promotional debut, as well. The Frenchman has four straight wins, including a pair of first-round TKOs.

Allen will look to stay unbeaten in his pro career, which includes three straight wins for Cage Warriors. At Cage Warriors 56, he submitted Andy Green in the first round. He followed that up in October with a second-round triangle choke win over Declan Williams at Cage Warriors 60. And at Cage Warriors 61 in December, he stopped Doni Miller with a TKO in the second. Huber makes his Cage Warriors debut after a decision loss in February snapped a five-fight winning streak of choke submissions. The Brazilian started his career 0-2 before going on the five-fight run, all in 2013.

The current Cage Warriors Fight Night 11 card includes:

  • Kurban Gadzhiev vs. Phil Harris
  • Jack Mason vs. Patrick Vallee
  • Brian Moore vs. Marat Pekov
  • Tahar Hadbi vs. Mike Johnson
  • Arnold Allen vs. Tobias Huber
  • Jack Hermansson vs. TBA
  • Julien Boussuge vs. TBA
