Cage Warriors 62 weigh-in results: With main-event scratch, new headliners on weight

With the initial headliner pulled from the card earlier today, the fighters for Saturday’s new Cage Warriors 62 main event have successfully made weight.

Curt Warburton (160.2 pounds) and Wesley Murch (160.6), who meet in a 160-pound catchweight fight, today hit their marks.

The event’s main card streams live on MMAjunkie (4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT) following Facebook prelims from Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England.

Initially, the event was expected to feature a flyweight title fight between champion Neil Seery (13-9) and Ulysses Gomez (9-4). However, as reported today, Gomez collapsed and was hospitalized while trying to cut weight for the fight.

In addition to the main-event switch, a late-booked bout between 178-pounders Danny Roberts (177.3) and Mateusz Strzelczyk (weighing in later) has been added to the Facebook prelims. A 176-pound catchweight fight between Dan Hope(176.2) and Tommy Quinn (175.4) subsequently has been promoted to the main card. So, too, has a featherweight bout between Alex Enlund (145.5) and Danny Lawson (143.9).
