Next month’s Cage Warriors 54 event has two new bouts, including one with a competitor from “The Ultimate Fighter 15.”
That competitor, Mark Glover (6-1-1), will take on Lewis Long (6-2) in a 160-pound catchweight fight. Additionally, Kris Edwards (8-4) and Karl Harrison (4-4) will meet in a bantamweight bout.
Cage Warriors 54 takes place May 4 at Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales. MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) streams the main card following prelims on Facebook.
Glover appeared briefly on “TUF 15? before an elimination-round loss to John Cofer. The Englishman, who makes his Cage Warriors debut, looks for his sixth career submission victory when he meets Long, a Welsh fighter who snapped a four-fight win streak when he suffered a submission defeat to Paul Redmond at Cage Warriors 49.
Edwards, meanwhile, had posted Cage Warriors wins over Janne Elonen-Kulmala and Brian Hyslop before a submission defeat to Alan Philpott at Cage Warriors 49. The Welsh fighter looks to get back on track against England’s Long, who’s stuck in a 1-3 skid following a recent promotional-debut loss to Neil Serry in October.
The latest Cage Warriors 54 card now includes:
- Champ Jesse Taylor vs. John Phillips – for middleweight title
- Ivan Buchinger vs. Tim Newman
- Mark Glover vs. Lewis Long
