A bantamweight clash between Alex Caceres and Edwin Figueroa has been added to the UFC 143
Headlined by a welterweight title bout between longtime UFC champion Georges St. Pierre and former Strikeforce kingpin Nick Diaz, UFC 143 goes down Feb. 4 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Caceres, 23, recently earned his first Octagon victory by outpointing veteran Cole Escovedo at Saturday's UFC on Fox 1 . “Bruce Leroy” showed improved skills, consistently beating his more experienced opponent to the punch en route to a unanimous nod from the cage-side judges. Following his stint on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 12, Caceres had stumbled in his first two UFC appearances, submitting to Mackens Semerzier and Jim Hettes in March and August, respectively.

Figueroa acquitted himself impressively in his UFC debut, taking top prospect Michael McDonald the distance at Fight Night 24 in March. Though he would suffer the first loss of his career to “Mayday,” the Texan would rebound with a dominant win over Jason Reinhardt at UFC Live 5. Figueroa has finished all eight of his career victims by either knockout or submission and has yet to be stopped in his four years as a pro.
