CB Dollaway Injured, Chris Camozzi Now Faces Cezar Ferreira at UFC on FX 8

CB Dollaway 470x260An injury has forced CB Dollaway out of his scheduled May 18 fight with Cezar FerreiraChris Camozzi will replace Dollaway on the UFC on FX 8 fight card against Ferreira.

UFC officials made the announcement on Monday.

Ferreira (5-2) made his way to the UFC by winning The Ultimate Fighter Brazil middleweight tournament at UFC 147 in June 2012.  UFC on FX 8 will be his first fight since becoming a TUF champion.

Camozzi (19-5) is on a four-fight winning streak.  He won a decision over Nick Ring in his last outing on March 16 at UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz. Prior to win over Ring, he earned a decision victory over Luiz Cane and finished Justin Jacoby and Nick Catone.

UFC on FX 8: Belfort vs. Rockhold takes place at at the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil.  The event is headlined by former UFC light heavyweight titleholder Vitor Belfot and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.

It will be Rockhold’s UFC debut.
