‘Bubba’ Bush meets Roger Narvarez in Legacy FC 28 main event on Feb. 21

The 28th show in the history of Legacy Fighting Championship goes down on Feb. 21, and a middleweight championship affair is set to take center stage.

Reigning 185-pound titleholder William “Bubba” Bush (6-2) will attempt to defend his belt for the first time when he takes on top contender Roger Narvarez (6-0) in the main event of Legacy FC 28. Legacy promoter Mick Maynard confirmed the fight booking with MMAjunkie.

“Roger’s undefeated, he’s a really strong stand up fighter, just got his black-belt in jiu-jitsu and is a very well-rounded guy,” Maynard said. “’Bubba’ has just been steamrolling through the competition forever, and this will be a good challenge. He comes 100 miles an hour and sees what you’re going to do about it.”

Legacy FC 28 takes place Feb. 21 at the Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio. The main card for the event airs on AXS TV. No other bouts have been formally announced at this time.

Bush, 28, is one of the longest tenured fighters on the Legacy roster. The American has fought all but one of his professional fights with the organization and has risen through the ranks to become champion.

He captured the vacant middleweight belt with a knockout of Larry Crowe and is eager to solidify his dominance atop of the division with his first title defense.

Narvarez, 30, brings an undefeated record to the cage for his first-ever title fight, including a successful effort in his Legacy debut in September. He has finished all but one of his opponents by knockout or submission and hopes to add Bush’s name to that list.
