Phil De Fries becomes the the latest addition the UFC, having announced his signing via his own Facebook account, stating that it is “a dream come true.”

With a record of 7-0-0-1, its quite a bold move for the fighter in a shark tank of a heavyweight division. So it will be interesting to see who he matches up with, but there is no doubt that he has the talent to make waves in the division with his slick ground skills.

De Fries raised eyebrows in his last fight, a victory over U.K. heavyweight veteran Stav Economou by way of rear naked choke toward the end of the second round of their encounter.

De Fries becomes the latest Briton to be added to the UFC 138 fight card in Birmingham, England, bringing the total up to eight, with rumors of another signing of British talent in the works.
