Bellator Season 9 TV Ratings Continue to Climb with Bellator 100

Douglas Lima vs Ben Saunders Bellator 100Bellator’s Season 9 started off slower than expected, but the promotion’s TV ratings have made a steady climb.

Friday night’s Bellator 100 scored 700,000 viewers on Spike TV, according to the Nielsen TV ratings. That’s up from the 660,000 that watched Bellator 99 and the 437,000 that tuned in for the season opener, Bellator 98.

Bellator 100 peaked at 896,000 viewers.

Douglas Lima and Ben Saunders squared off in the Bellator 100 main event. It was a rematch of the pair’s bout from November 2011. The end result was much the same. Lima knocked Saunders out with punches in their first go-around, but this time floored him with a head kick.

The promotion returns Friday, Sept. 27, at 9 p.m. ET on Spike TV with Bellator 101, which features the return of former Bellator featherweight champion Joe Warren in the night’s main event.
