MMAFighting.com first reported the news on Wednesday, and
Sherdog.com subsequently confirmed Baroni’s release with a Bellator
“The New York Bad Ass” made his promotional debut at Bellator 122,
falling to Karo
Parisyan via technical knockout 2:06 into the opening frame. It
was the fifth loss in six outings for the American Kickboxing
Academy representative, who sat out most of the past year after
suffering a gruesome ankle injury at One FC 9.
Baroni appeared to allude to his release via Twitter earlier in the
Baroni, 38, is a veteran of 33 professional fights. He has competed
for a number of organizations over the course of his career,
including the UFC, Strikeforce and Pride.
