Bellator CEO Rebney tired of Alvarez’ lies

The battle between Bellator MMA and Eddie Alvarez has over the last couple of weeks become even more heated. According to Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney, statements that Alvarez has made are false.

Alvarez has in several interviews claimed that Bellator had manipulated documents and changed terms in the release letter versus what was in the contract. This is a big lie, says Rebney.

"I have an enormous problem with somebody spreading completely untrue statements and lying about a situation," the Bellator CEO told MMAjunkie. Nothing was changed. 'Material terms' language was never added. It is not part of that final document that was signed. That is just false. That isn't a misunderstanding. That is not, 'Oh, I misunderstood what you said,' or, 'I misconstrued what you said.' That is just a completely untrue and false statement.”

On Twitter, Alvarez has also alleged that Cosmo Alexandre and Zach Makovsky was treated improperly by the organization. This too is completely false insists Rebney.
