Bellator MMA LogoBellator 94 on Thursday featured two Season 8 tournament finals, but that failed to give the event any punch in the TV ratings department.

Bellator 94 drew just 713,000 viewers, the second lowest total of the season, according to MMAWeekly.com industry sources.

Bellator’s Season 8 has still been a TV ratings success for the promotion, averaging 782,000 viewers per event, well above what the promotion has achieved in prior seasons on other networks. This is the first season that Bellator has aired on Spike TV.

Season 8 kicked off strong with 938,000 viewers for the promotion’s debut on its new network, but hasn’t returned to that point since.

Despite the initial broadcast being one of the season’s low points, the Bellator 94 live event coupled with its immediate replay for a cumulative total of 1,072,000 viewers on Thursday night, which marks a strong showing for the night and the season. The Bellator 94 replay drew 359,000 viewers.

One of the more time-honored ways of conveying an intent to do harm is to say you want to "beat the piss" out of someone. But in the case of Justin Gaethje, who during his summers between collegiate wrestling took amateur cage fights to see how he liked it, well, he can boast of doing just that. In his f more
