Bellator 91 Weigh-In Results: Christian M’Pumbu, Attila Vegh Cleared for LHW Title Fight



Christian M'Pumbu will defend his light heavyweight championship for the first time against Attila Vegh on Thursday night at Bellator 91, as both men were cleared to compete at Wednesday’s pre-fight weigh-ins.

M’Pumbu tipped the scales at a trim 201.6 pounds, while Vegh checked in slightly heavier at 204. Bellator 91 takes place at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, N.M., and will also feature the semifinals of Bellator’s ongoing Season 8 lightweight tournament.

Saad Awad (155.5) will square off with Will Brooks (156) in one semifinal, while Jason Fischer (155.6) locks horns with David Rickels (155.7) on the other side of the bracket. The evening’s main draw airs live on Spike TV.

The preliminary proceedings take place immediately prior and stream live on Spike.com. The undercard is highlighted by the Bellator debut of multi-time women’s boxing champion Holly Holm (135.2), who toes the line against Katie Merrill (135.4). Bantamweight tournament veteran Ed West (135.9) will also compete during the preliminary stream, taking on Josh Montoya (135.4).
