Bellator 60 Weigh-in Results: Joe Warren-Pat Curran Set, Genair da Silva Misses Weight

Bellator Fighting Championships gets its sixth season underway with Bellator 60, as featherweight champion Joe Warren defends his title against challenger Pat Curran.

In his last action, Warren dropped weight classes, entering Bellator’s Season 5 bantamweight tournament, where his effort to become the first Bellator champion in two weight classes was quickly stifled. Warren, a Greco-Roman powerhouse, suffered a first-round knockout loss to amateur wrestling champion Alexis Vila.

Curran is on a three-fight winning streak since dropping down to featherweight following his lightweight title-fight loss to Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez. Curran is fresh off a KO victory over Marlon Sandro, which crowned him the Summer Series featherweight tournament champion and earned him a shot at Warren’s strap.

The action is set for Friday at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind. The competitors weighed-in Thursday afternoon.

Warren, the self-proclaimed "Baddest Man on the Planet" and current featherweight champion, came in at 144, while Curran hit the scales at 144.8.

Bellator 60 airs on MTV2 and features a main card filled with featherweight action, as the Season 6 featherweight tournament gets underway with four opening round fights. Nova Uniao standout Marlon Sandro (145.6) takes on Roberto Vargas (145.4), Mike Corey (145.4) squares off against Ronnie Mann (145.6), Alexandre Bezerra (145.4) will test last-minute replacement Kenny Foster (145.6) after Genair da Silva failed to make weight and missed his mark by four pounds, and Jeremy Spoon (145.6) will take on Daniel Straus (144.8). The tournament winner will earn $100,000 and the next shot at the Warren vs. Curran winner.

Bellator's preliminary card airs on Spike.com with fights featuring Cory Galloway (136) vs. Jake Nauracy (135.2), Anthony Gomez (213.8) vs. Travis Wiuff (214.8), UFC vet Sean McCorkle (281) vs. Richard White (277.6) and TUF alum Shamar Bailey (164.4) vs. Josh Shockley (166.6).
