Bellator 149 promo: A street fight in the cage with 'Kimbo' vs. 'Dada 5000'?

Leave it to longtime Bellator commentator and former pro MMA fighter Jimmy Smith to be a voice of reason in the tentpole spectacle known as Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson vs.“Dada 5000,” aka Dhafir Harris.

“The problem a street fighter has going into MMA is it’s not a street fight,” Smith tells cameras in the latest promo video for Bellator 149.

Friday’s co-headliner might be billed as MMA, but if you’re picking up what Smith and Bellator commentator Manny Rodriguez are putting down in “What to Watch: Kimbo Slice vs. Dada 5000,” whatever happens in the cage is probably going to be over, and soon.

Bellator 149 takes place at Toyota Center in Houston. Main-card fights air live on Spike after prelims on MMAjunkie.

After “years and years of trash-talk in the streets of Miami,” the two former brawlers will get in a cage and settle their differences. Then the world will see what happens when Slice (5-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA), a guy who’s made an earnest run at becoming an MMA fighter, meets rival Harris (2-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA), who’s flirted with pro fighting while running a backyard fight club.
