Bellator 131 replay with Ortiz-Bonnar, Brooks-Chandler slated for Friday on Spike TV

If you missed Bellator MMA’s final event of 2014 this past Saturday, you can watch a replay Friday on Spike TV.

Promotion officials recently announced that Bellator 131, which initially took place Nov. 15, will re-air Friday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Bellator 131 took place at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. The five-bout main card aired on Spike TV following prelims on MMAjunkie.

In the main event, UFC Hall of Famers Tito Ortiz and Stephan Bonnar met in a grudge match. Ortiz won by split decision – though the two scores in his favor each were 30-27. In the co-feature, interim lightweight champion Will Brooks beat former champ Michael Chandler for the second time to become the unified titleholder.

The main card also featured Muhammed Lawal, Mike Richman and a slugfest between elite-level kickboxers Melvin Manhoef and Joe Schilling.

Bellator 131 drew an average audience of 1.2 million viewers for the night’s broadcast on Spike TV. The headliner averaged 1.8 million viewers and hit a high of 2 million. According to Spike TV, it was the highest rated event in Bellator history.

“Bellator 131 was an incredible event that had something for everybody, and I’m thrilled to see our efforts were so well-received by our fans,” Bellator President Scott Coker stated. “I’m very proud of our entire Bellator and Spike family for all of the hard work they put resulting in these record-breaking ratings.
