The nine-bout lineup for next month’s Bellator 104 lineup is now official, and the evening features the semifinal bouts of Bellator’s Season 9 welterweight tournament with Rick Hawn (16-2 MMA, 8-2 BMMA) vs. Brent Weedman (22-8-1 MMA, 8-3 BMMA) and Ron Keslar (10-3 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) vs. War Machine (14-4 MMA, 2-0 BMMA)
Bellator MMA officials today announce the full fight card for the event, which takes place Oct. 18 at U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Like all of Bellator’s Season 9 events, the evening’s main card airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com.
Hawn, who has previously earned finals berths in Bellator tourneys at both 170 and 155 pounds, earned his spot in the semifinals of the current bracket with a decision win over Herman Terrado. He now meets Weedman in a rematch of the pair’s Season 6 lightweight tournament final, which Haw won by decision.
Keslar, a three-time Strikeforce veteran, made his Bellator debut in the quarterfinal round of the tournament. He now meets War Machine, who scored an impressive technical-submission win over Vaughn Anderson in the first round of the tournament.
Additional main card fights include heavyweights Eric Prindle (8-3 MMA, 3-2 BMMA) vs. Australian import Peter Graham (9-5 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) and a middleweight feature of Kendall Grove (18-13 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) vs. Joe Vedepo (14-6 BMMA, 1-1 BMMA).
The evening’s preliminary card also features one of the deepest lineups of Season 9 thus far, with a number of MMA notables set to compete.
